My name is Jaqui Hope and I am a Peer Support Specialist. I take pride in being in recovery from substance use and mental health disorders. I believe that I can only keep what I have by giving it away. So, I choose to recover out loud to keep others from dying quietly. I feel the more I share my experience, strength and hope out loud it allows others too see that recovery is possible, when they are ready they know someone they can reach out to for help.
It helps others know they are not alone. I enjoy being a safe place for others to bring their struggles knowing I can provide them strength and comfort. Ever since I was a child, I’ve had a passion for helping others. I always said that when I grew up, I wanted to be the person I needed when I was struggling. And here I am. What better way to help others than help people walk through the same things I had too and find their own road to recovery. Recovery is possible, it works and you’re worth it!
Above all I am child of God, proud mother of two beautiful children, daughter, sister, aunt, spouse, and friend that people can count on today. I show up, I love hard, and I have learned to show myself some love and self-worth. I always put my recovery first. I enjoy being in nature, exploring the beautiful country we live in, getting new tattoos and showing others the gifts of recovery. Come see me and find a Place to Breathe.
